Wow... um, wow.
Yeah, it's funny. I don't think she's an idiot at all; we've all had those awkward "what-the-hell" moments where we don't know what to say and just ramble - shit, just look at most of my blog entries. I did, however, think y'all would get a kick out of this.
Party on, Wayne.
Party on, Garth.

Uh...HUH?? What did South Africa and Iraq have to do with anything? I'm sorry Michael, you were far to kind when you said this girl was not an idiot. It is apparently obvious that she IS.
Also, she could have simply said that our education system in America blows ass. She could have talked about the joke that is "no child left behind" and how the war in iraq has invested billions of dollars into something fairly useless when it could have been invested into teaching children where the U.S. is on a map. BTW, every school has a map. I challenge her to find one that doesn't. Perhaps many of them still refer to Russia as the U.S.S.R and label Czechoslovakia as one country but they all have America in one location. It's also annoying that she starts the answer off with "I personally believe...". Well DUH...who else would you be believing for? I'm sorry Michael, she is an idiot.
Hey, I was feeling charitable. But you are 100% right - she's an idiot.
I watched her on some interview today and she didn't seem quite as dumb. Did Lisa tell you that I'm reading The Stand?
Travis, you make me laugh!
BTW, my school does not have a map.
Yeah, right.
Ok, after watching it again, I have come to the conclusion that she totally didn't hear the question properly. I believe she must have thought the moderator said "1/5 of the world" instead of "1/5 of Americans". If that is the case then she is an idiot for not listening properly but her answer makes a LITTLE more sense. But it's still a bad answer.
